This theatre adopts the new concept of a semi-transparent central stage with images shown on four sides. Audience can enjoy the show at whatever angle they are seated and see through the "screen". The stage utilizes advanced technology to realize quick changing of scenes and 3D effects. What's more, audiences don't need to wear special glasses to enjoy this feast for the eyes or to enjoy the augmented reality show.
The performance played in this theatre is adapted from the Chinese folktale of, "The Butterfly Lovers". The show combines live performance with spectra vision. The performance mainly tells the story of lady Zhu Yingtai, who disguises herself as a man to study and falls in love with her classmate Liang Shanbo. However their love is forbidden and eventually they die for love. Their spirits transform into butterflies and they are never separated. This theatre realizes some "magical" effects, such as the growth of plants, collapsing and disappearing of walls, etc.
